After a quick stop at Howick Fall we checked into our first camp. Giants Castle is one of the larger parks in the area. It features lots of grassy rolling hills, free roaming elands, vultures, a heritage rock art site, and some diverse and ambitious hikes.

The chalet was part of the main camp and was situated above a green river valley, with views onto the escarpment. A number of the pics in this album were shot from the stoep, post-hike, drink in hand.
