Krueger NP
From Graskop we finally headed to Kruger NP for the remainder of the trip. As always we got huts in several rest camps (Skukuza, Satara, and Berg-en-Dal) and drove around by ourselves during the days.
The north east has summer rains and so the weather varied. Most days felt hot or too hot but we also had a day of rain and storm clouds. Everywhere we went we found plenty of water with grass that was lush but not too high yet. Overall pretty good conditions for good game spotting.
Our arrival at Kruger coincided with fresh lockdown regulations. Luckily we had always planned on self-catering and self-driving so the only change that affected us were the reduced gate opening times. Some days it was so hot by the time we were allowed to leave the camp that most of the wildlife had already collapsed under a tree.
